Recent Yard Sale/Goodwill Finds

and by recent I mean last 2 months...
Yes, it's been a while since I've posted! But, none the less I think I've found some real treasures lately. Starting with this fabulous breakfast tray:

$1.49 @ St. Vinnys! Maybe will be getting a paint job... :-)

this fabulous..? 1950's wiener dog caddy.. $5.00 @ an Estate Sale. Adam bought it with the intentions that it would go on his desk to hold paper clips and post-its. But then he googled and found out that it is actually a 'Dresser Caddy' so it now holds his ring, watch, and wallet on the night stand - Score.

 maybe my favorite of them all... I found more DUCKS!!! $1.49 each at a Thrift Store in Albany, what a steal! There was 4 total. Not sure what color I'm going to paint them yet, pink..? maybe..?

 

Fu Dogs - $2.99 @ Goodwill. I think I got a real bargain, check these Fu Dogs out from CB2: http://www.cb2.com/family.aspx?c=598&f=4639 cha-ching!

These guys have already been painted, maybe I'll get around to an after post soon.

 

This super cool ornate mirror! $10 at a garage sale! Soon to be painted an unsure color. {Hamilton is inspecting it}

We got 2 of these super cute night stands that are PERFECT in our new guest room, pictures coming soon, $15 at a thrift store in Albany. They already got new hardware {not pictured} Now, to paint or not to paint, that is the question.

This awesome ornate mirror, $29.99, a little steep at Goodwill but I love it. I haven't found the perfect spot for it yet, these are the options: in place of the bathroom mirror, in the living room, just use the frame around the TV,.. hmm.

 

 Last, but not least, this stainless steel range hood. $15 at a flea market in Bend, brand new in the box! {We then sold our old white one at my sisters garage sale, so technically it only cost us $10!} The plan is to someday update to stainless appliances so we got a head start :) We have a lot of other stainless items so it blends right in!

Everything will soon have a spot in our home, if they don't already! I can't wait to post after pictures of how I've fixed these items up! I love a bargain!

Recent Yard Sale Finds

I think I've found some treasures lately. This past weekend it wasn't raining so Adam and I ventured out to some sales. I found these fabulous metal patio chairs, only $5 each {wait till you see them made-over, coming soon!} This cute little dresser for only $7 {again, make-over coming soon!} These cute white vases, only $0.25 each! Last, but not least, this super fun metal tray that the vases are sitting on for only $1! I am most excited about my new patio chairs though. I have been admiring these, and even found some similar that were at a boutique in downtown Bend last summer. They were awesome, but over $100, each! I can't wait to share how fabulous they are looking now!
1 more find to share: My new, old, kitchen scale! I've been wanting to get a kitchen scale, but wanted an antique/vintage scale that was cute enough to leave out. Of course I wanted a pink one, but my only luck of finding a vintage pink scale was a baby one. I had been searching eBay for one and found this one. Perfect! Except I didn't order this from eBay, I found it at a local antique store for only $15! {The cheapest on eBay was about $18 + $13 shipping} Deal for me!

2 people's junk...

Today Adam and I had a yard sale {with some extra junk added thanks to my 2 sisters and a friend} The weather turned out beautiful. Perfect day for sitting outside and making money! With a little help from Craigslist & homemade signs our sale was a success! The garage is clean {Thanks Adam!} and we have some extra cash for new house projects!!! We made $263.00, but thanks to the extra junk added we had to share some. Whatever we didn't sell went to GoodWill already this afternoon. Bye, Bye, Bye! All of our junk is now GONE! 7:45am 3:45pm {First one to find Adam in this photo gets a gold star!} :-) No wonder these things didn't sell. It's amazing the crap people buy :-) I can't wait to go garaging myself, 'Tis the Season!
